Recommendation

I don't usually promote products, but due to the intense heat I've been eating a lot of ice cream lately, and trying some new flavors... and I had to mention that the Godiva ice cream has been uniformly amazing. So far I've tried the Belgian Dark Chocolate Mint and Cappuccino with Chocolate Hearts... really creamy, great flavors, hard to stop nibbling (that's the bad part). I got it at Stop & Shop so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Again, I don't usually do this, but in case anyone else is looking for a good way to cool off, I thought it was only fair to share... :-)

I tried the Godiva Ice Cream when it first came out a year or so ago, I didn't care for it. Believe it or not, Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie satisfied my chocolate ice cream cravings better.

We have the great good fortune to live in the town that houses Richardson's Ice Cream. Richardson's is distributed to some restaurants on the North Shore and elsewhere, but we get it fresh, close, and all year 'round.

When Mike ordered Richardson's soft serve one day (instead of one of the dozens of flavors of rich ice cream), I laughed at him. "Soft serve?" I scoffed. Then I tasted it. It was simply the best soft serve I'd ever conceived of putting in my mouth. Rich, decadent, amazingly chocolaty. It's like eating frozen chocolate mousse.

Even in last night's heat, there were still lines at all of the outdoor windows at 9:30 last night when we drove by.
