The problem is, he doesn't seem to be very *good* at running for office. He's clearly good at policymaking, he might even be good at governing (which is a very different art, as Jimmy Carter found out the hard way). He's not good at running. I don't blame him for not wanting to try it again, and I don't think he'd win if he did, much though I might wish that weren't so.
