Whooooooooo...

I've been seeing a lot of articles in trade magazines lately about how Halloween is becoming more and more popular, and is "not just for kids anymore." Judging by how many people I saw walking around in costumes tonight, that seems to be true. Which makes me curious... I know this will probably be an atypical result, but, humor me:

I actually would have chosen all 4 of your answers to the first question if there had been checkboxes. As it was I didn't feel totally comfortable with any one of them. And to finish my stubborn unofficial answers, no I didn't dress special or unusual today :).

I'll tell you the funniest thing today. I was at a coffee house and a guy showed up for a business meeting dressed like a devil, I suppose. He had small horns strapped to his head and a long red floor length jacket. I'm sure it's due to having been at a convention this last weekend but after a few minutes, it just became how he looked and not really out of the ordinary. On the other hand the child dressed as a flying unicorn stayed cute the whole time :).

Change that to all but the fifth answer.

I was just looking for the closest approximation... :-) That is funny about the guy in the devil costume, though! We had a customer come in dressed as a devil today, too; we thought she was just wearing a red outfit, until she got up to leave and we saw the tail...

Whereas I wanted "none of the above".

Sorry I didn't have that option, but what would you have put in if you could write your own?

[identity profile] zsero.livejournal.com 2006-11-01 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Nothing at all", or "Something that happens around me".

Fair enough.

hallowe'en has always been my "new year's eve" with November 1st as my new years day. i'm not sure why, but i think it's because my birthday is on the 2nd. ok well it makes sense in my head. but anyway... i LOVE this holiday. it's *my* holiday. and unfortunately for the last 3 years (4 now) it has been killed. sadly i dont think i'll ever have another hallowe'en that will be happy again. maybe if by this time next year i'm living elsewhere...perhaps it will be better.

Sorry things have been so rough for you lately... I hope they improve soon!

Pagan ritual which now raises a whole new "me" generation.

Pretty lousy holiday.

However, my next door neighbor had a big party and gave me some good vodka for a lchaim.

Good you didn't have to drive home!
