Aw, man. Virtual hugs all around.
Seriously, you might want to try A Taste Of Thai Roasted Garlic Soup. That's become my default "chicken soup". And it's the
only
store-bought "roasted garlic" product I've had that doesn't have that slight metallic back taste. It's really good.
