A congressman is trying to make it illegal for the National Weather Service to freely distribute their forecasts because it's unfair competition for the services that charge. (Just when you think people can't get any stupider...) More info, and links to a petition, are on this post. Please circulate, this is something everyone should know about.

Rick Santorum is a punchline by himself. Still, with so many other services around, I don't see any reason for the National Weather Service even to continue to exist.
