Quick update

For those of you following the fascinating saga of my ear, I spoke to a nurse today, and she said to keep taking the Advil and a decongestant and just watch it for a couple more days. If it gets worse I should call again, if it gets better, don't worry. She said she'd be much more concerned if I had a fever. So hopefully this will just go away on its own. (I think it is a little better, it's just not gone yet.)

If I had anything else to say, I'm too tired to remember it right now... g'night!

Ear trouble

Over the last many months my ears have been so full of guk from allergies that hearing has at times been harder than it usually is. That's bad enough. The worst part is when they hurt or start to pop at random times, but usually when I am trying to sound intelligent.

My doctor said I needed someone to put tubes in them to drain them, but I couldn't have it done, as no one in ME does it. She prescribed daily doses of pseudoephedrine. I've been taking it twice daily now for months and my ears have cleared up, no symptoms, and I can hear as well as I used to.

That sounds really unpleasant. Glad you're feeling better! My ear seems to be better also, so it probably was some type of sinus thing, thankfully.
