Journey to the valley of the coats
My mom and I did another I'll-come-late-you-leave-early swap so ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sdavido and I could do a shopping run.
We needed to get SD- a new winter jacket, as his has gotten rather shredded. So we went to Burlington Coat Factory... that seemed a good place to look for coats.
After a bit of pawing through racks and trying things on, he found a jacket he liked. Fits well, seems durable, has all the necessary coat features. But while we were standing there surrounded by coats, I realized that, hmm, I actually need a coat too...
I've had my raincoat, which also doubles as my "nice" coat, for something on the order of 15 years. It's still in fine shape, but I've gained a bit of weight since we got married, and it doesn't really fit that well anymore. I've been worried that I may not be able to wear it much longer. So since we were in a coat store, I wandered over to look at the raincoats - and after a bit of digging in the racks, I found one I liked. Yay!
So we came home with two coats. Mission accomplished! I know it may not seem like a big deal, but it's nice to check something off the "remember to" list... and considering how much I hate shopping, it was nice that we found what we were looking for.
That's about all that's new over here, hope you all have a nice weekend...
