sdavido just gave me a couple-days-early birthday present: a DVD recording of Torvill & Dean's "Bolero" performance at the '84 Olympics (complete with judges' marks). That's always been one of my favorites, and I have it on a VCR tape somewhere, but as he points out the tape is probably degrading. So now I have a copy that won't wear out. It's so nice that he knows what I like...

I was just thinking about that the other day. I was in Panera and I was trying to figure out if they had just been playing Bolero. I dedcided that it hadn't been but I thought I should try to find that couples figure skating routine on Youtube. I haven't yet but maybe sometime. I've only seen it once or twice years ago but it really stuck with me.
