It's a strange world. I've worked on hand held devices but never actually used them. I've worked on interactive tv, but never used it. Worked on cable boxes but don't get cable.

Now I'm working on audio players but don't own an iPod.

Someone must have been buying all these gadgets. If they stop buying, will I be out of work? :/

I have to say, I used to be a paper-planner person. But there's something very nice about having my calendar, phone book, to-do list, and memo pad all in one item that fits into my skirt pocket. Add in a calculator, a permanent shopping list database, a paperback book, and a searchable store database, and you've got almost the entire contents of my backpack fitting into my pocket.

I don't deny that paper planners work better for some people. But with my handheld, I'm even more organized than I was with the paper equivalents.

No, it's the technophiles who are switching to paper, the technophobes will still buy them... :-)

I also have my calendar, phone book, to-do list, and memo pad all in one item - I use a Day-Timer. I can't get a book into it, but I almost never have time to read during the day anyway. (I know a handheld has some neat features, but in any gathering where someone asks the collective for X's contact info, I usually have my address book open to the right page while everyone else is still clicking through menus...)
