Assorted social things

We're finally starting to catch up with some of the people we've been meaning to see. (This summer is going by way too fast!) Friday night we had the pleasure of having gnomi and mabfan to dinner. (They probably wouldn't have appreciated it if we had them for dinner.) Saturday we had a lunch guest who I don't think has an LJ account... though for all I know, maybe she does! I should ask next time we see her.

This afternoon we had a sidewalk sale at the store, so sdavido nobly stood outside all afternoon and tried to sell things to passing strangers.

Tomorrow we're getting together with some friends of sdavido's who are in town from Illinois, visiting family. I haven't actually met them (though we've spoken on the phone) so it should be neat. The drawbacks are (a) they want to get an early start (ugh), and (b) since we're taking them sightseeing, we'll be heading downtown during the DNC... wish us luck!

Since we're supposed to be getting up early I shouldn't stay up too late. So I'll finish catching up on posts and such later. Further updates as events warrant...
