vettecatA friend points out that if a friend of yours creates a DreamWidth account, and imports their journal... and you've ever commented on their journal... it creates an account for you, too. Without approval or permission. So if someone looks for you on DW, it'll look like you're active there, though you may not have ever used the site at all, or have any desire to. Seems rather creepy.
