vettecatAs most of you probably know, I like to bake. :-) Since this weekend was Mother's Day I wanted to bring something special to my mother for Shabbos. Recently I've been pleased with the results from Baking Illustrated, but I was looking for something more intense. So naturally I turned to Marcel Desaulniers. I pulled out my copy of Death by Chocolate Cookies, and decided to make Brown Sugar Bars (for ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sdavido - he's not really a chocolate person) and Black Gold Cookies. I'm continually fascinated by what different results you can get with very slight variations of ingredients. In this case... wow! Both very rich, in very different ways. Yum! And my mother was quite pleased with my choices, too... :-)
