Tonight I felt like making something "real" for dinner (often we'll just do something simple because it's faster), and
sdavido said he wouldn't mind waiting... I wound up making a macaroni casserole and a tuna casserole. So we have food for the next few days, and I won't have to worry about what to make to eat before the fast Wednesday night. Yay! (Of course, we wound up not eating dinner until almost 9, but now we should be able to eat at a decent hour tomorrow...)

Date: 2006-08-01 09:12 pm (UTC)I'm desperately trying to come up with an idea for this evening and for tomorrow that doesn't involve the oven because, well, um! (And the bbq is fleishig, which will be fine after Friday, but not so much now.)
BTW, got your phone msg. I'll be doing cooking and packing, as you surmised, tonight, and maybe even getting to sleep early (ha ha) so we probably won't manage to get in touch.

Date: 2006-08-02 02:52 am (UTC)As for cold dinner ideas, I imagine you thought of the obvious tuna & egg salad... pasta salad could work too if you're willing to cook the pasta.
Sorry we didn't connect, but we'll look forward to good news!
