Last night

sdavido and I had dinner with

umbran. It was great to have a chance to visit and catch up. And we talked a little bit about cake plans... I need to spend some time playing with fondant. :-)

Tonight, while en route to BJ's, we had a surreal moment. We were driving down a back street, and there in the road were three large turkeys. Just strutting around. I honked and one of them gobbled at us in Turk-ese. After a few moments they wandered far enough apart that I was able to inch past them... but it was very strange.

At BJs, we picked up a few things we needed (and some we may not have), but when we got to the checkout we learned that our account needed to be renewed. This turned into a rather frustrating (and almost hour-long) saga before it was resolved. Which unfortunately delayed us to the point that we were unable to drop off a few things we'd picked up for

lucretia_borgia and

sethg. Oh well.

When we got home (rather late),

sdavido was very distressed to discover that his computer doesn't seem able to find its hard drive. This is obviously a Bad Thing, for lots of reasons. He's going to try and find it a doctor tomorrow, hopefully something can be done for it... but in the meantime, if you send him e-mail, expect a delay in response.
