Odd coincidence

I think I'm caught in the middle of an LJ restructuring, things keep moving around...
But that's not the odd coincidence. The odd coincidence is that I called the police twice today. (Not 911, don't worry.)
The first took place earlier today when I was driving down a narrow one-way street, and saw a police car parked in the street ahead of me, with the driver's door open. There wasn't space for me to get by. After waiting for a couple minutes, I got annoyed. So I called the police department number, which was on the side of the car, and asked if they knew whether this policeman might be able to move his car. (I decided against honking b/c if he was in the middle of a crisis I didn't want to make it worse.) I was put on hold while they checked, and a moment later the policeman came out of the building, gave me a mean look, and moved his car. By this time, of course, another car was behind me honking...
The second was later tonight, when I went over to my parents' house for a little while, and my mother told me to be careful I didn't run over the dead skunk lying in the middle of the street. (Ick.) Neither of us knew who to call about such a thing, but I figured the police would know... and I still had their number in my phone from earlier. So I called and told them about the dead skunk, and they said they'd notify the appropriate people. (My mother told me later that someone did show up and take it away.)
Just a strange overlap...
