Spider... ick

I noticed a spider hanging from the ceiling fixture in here a few minutes ago. Our "official" policy is that spiders on the ceiling can stay there unmolested, but if they come down off the ceiling, they forfeit that privilege. So I tried to reach up and grab it down with something, gingerly... I'm not really good at that, it's usually sdavido's job, but he's still at the conference. (Coming home tomorrow - yay!) Unfortunately I must have misjudged, and instead of grabbing it, I wound up just knocking it down. So now there's a spider in here somewhere, and I can't find it. I keep looking around but I haven't been able to spot it anywhere. I'm just hoping it doesn't suddenly appear crawling across my monitor or something. Ick.

I hate spiders too. I especially hate them when I think they might be on the floor or other surface where I might run across them unexpectedly...ick!

I think I could deal with it being on the floor, I just really don't want it in my hair...

If it makes you feel better, you probably damaged the spider enough to kill it...

Oh. God. Now that I'm getting divorced what am i going to do if I see a spider? I once had Deborah come home from work because there was a wasp in the kitchen. I say kill them all. Kill them. Death. death. Death. Insects areyucky. Help me mommy.

I feel exactly the same way when that happens to me. Well, except for the letting them live on the ceiling part :). Maybe Sheharazad (sp?) will find it and take care of the problem....

Scheherazade actually did wander in and sit down shortly thereafter; I was watching her b/c I figured if there was movement, she'd notice it.

It's OK, it didn't get me... and now that you're back home you can protect me if there are any more spiders. :-)
