Got a new desk chair. OK, not new, exactly - the store next door to ours was throwing it out b/c they got something newer. But it was sitting in the back hallway, and hadn't made it out to the dumpster yet... so it wasn't quite trash, right?

It's definitely newer than my old chair. My previous desk chair was originally one of my parents' kitchen chairs, but when they replaced them I took one. ("How can you throw out a perfectly good chair?") (Me, a pack rat?...) So I've had it for maybe 6 years, and it wasn't new when I got it. I guess it's reasonable that it should be getting a bit worn.

So I'm trying out the new(er) chair. The nice thing is it seems to be much better for my back, which has been bothering me lately. Maybe the chair was part of the problem. I'll try this one for a few days and see what I think of it.

In the meantime... how do you decide when something is "old" or "new," anyway?

After much deliberation, [livejournal.com profile] sdavido and I have decided that we're going to OVFF. Yay! It means we'll have to cut back elsewhere, but we didn't go last year, and there are so many people that we want to see... Hopefully we'll even get to talk to some of them! :-)
