Mistakes like this make me wince--occupational hazard. What I've had to learn though, is not to correct people unless they ask. I pointed out one typo in a document written by someone who was not a student of mine and got a very frosty response. Now, I just grit my teeth and ignore stuff. Miss Manners was right.

I kind of take it case-by-case, trying to weigh embarrassing the person now against how embarrassed they'll be if it's not fixed.
