Late night update

sdavido and I have had the pleasure of hosting pressburger this weekend. So we've been socializing instead of answering mail. Strange but true!
Friday night we all went to dinner atgnomi and mabfan's, which was a lot of fun. They also had a friend who, shockingly, doesn't have an LJ account, but she was good company anyway. :-)
Shabbos lunch we got to host and Gnomi & Mabfan came to us. (I'm still trying to figure out when one does & doesn't use userlinks.) It was really nice to have the time to chat and visit. Since SDavido's been trying to catch up on grading, I'll post a quick menu - he can always expand it later if he likes:

Later in the afternoon SDavido and I went for a walk... it was way too nice to stay inside.
Saturday night we took Pressburger for a "mystery ride." He wasn't happy about the mystery part but he liked the end result. We had arranged to meet friends L&M at Krispy Kreme. Pr- likes doughnuts, and doesn't get to see L&M very often, so I thought it would be a nice treat. We had a nice evening catching up and watching the doughnut machine.
This afternoon I was at work, SD- was grading papers, and Pr- was doing some local research. The two of them also put in our new air conditioner, which will be very much appreciated in a few weeks. Then we went out for dinner, and spent the rest of the evening catching up on things... it's taken me longer than I thought it would. At this point the cat is getting pretty forceful about reminding me I should be in bed.
Tomorrow Pr- defends his dissertation, and then heads back home. Hopefully all will go smoothly and he'll have another degree soon. And getting a few days to visit was a nice bonus.
