[livejournal.com profile] sdavido has been put in charge of paper distribution for the PCA/ACA conference (this is actually pretty important), and got permission (and plans) from Filthy Pierre to use the design for his Famous Flyer Racks. But somebody needs to build them... Someone had actually agreed to do it, but [livejournal.com profile] sdavido hasn't been able to contact him for several weeks and is worried that he's flaked. Does anyone know someone who is able to follow plans and cut fiberglass (or something equivalent), and would be able to do this in the next few weeks? The budget for this isn't very big, unfortunately, but I can always add some cookies. :-) Any help with construction and/or leads for same would be very, very much appreciated. Thanks!

If he's not busy, I would suggest [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral.

That had occurred to me, I was wondering whether [livejournal.com profile] roozle would have any thoughts on the subject... but I might just go ahead and ask him.

While it's flattering you thought of him, [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral is pretty swamped at the moment. He's just completed one big project and has a couple more short-deadline things sitting on his desk.

Anyway, I think I have learned better, after all these years, than to volunteer my spouse for anything -- he seems to get into enough trouble on his own anyway!

I did get a note back from him; he says he's booked but will try to think of someone else. If he can suggest someone, that will be wonderful. But I completely understand your policy, I think that's very sane. :-)

Aren't Irwin's racks made of corrugated plastic? My brother used that stuff to make isopod runs in the Negev; they stayed in place (2 runs, 50x500 meters, 10 cm high) for 3-4 years. It's pretty durable.

That may be, but we still need someone to build them...
