Sloshing through the slop

Driving home was also awful. I'm not sure what was worse, the messy roads or the almost total lack of visibility. (Actually, I think the latter was worse.) But we did OK 'til we got to our driveway... and I couldn't get up the hill. There was too much snow at the bottom.
So I went around the block and tried to come in from the other side, but couldn't get in that way either. After a bit of back-and-forth (both mental and physical),

While we were finishing with our space, one of our neighbors came home, and tried to get into the driveway... and got stuck. So

But we got home safe, and are now dry. We'll just have to get up a little early in the morning to go check on our car... I'm hoping that the plows will have (a) cleared the street, and (b) not totally plowed us in, so I can get to the store in time to open it. (Assuming, of course, that the parking lot there has been plowed, too...)

Date: 2005-03-10 01:04 am (UTC)We thought about going out last night, but decided driving was probably not the best of ideas. This turned out to be a wise plan, as the kitchen window blew open and filled up with snow, and Wolf had to use the hairdryer on it so we could close it again.
