I read the ynetnews.com article a couple of days ago on "that list".  My theory is that there was a Hebrew/English translation error and someone got LARPs and D&D confused. 

Why the IDF is banning gamers has me completely confused.  I have a couple of friends who used to serve in the US Navy on submarines.  D&D was their way to avoid getting bored when off-duty on a sub.  (how many times can you read the same books or watch the same videos?)
