Does anybody know of a library and/or school that would be interested in some old-but-crisp magazines? I have several boxes of mid-90s Newsweeks (near-mint) in my parents' attic that I had been saving for a while, but we don't really have room for them... but I hate to throw out perfectly good magazines. (There are some Smithsonians up there, too.) It seems to me that someone should have a use for them. I was thinking of sending them down to The Book Thing, but we're worried about the shipping cost. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

When I worked at free clinics in Los Angeles, we appreciated any magazine donations regardless of date...try places like that in the area. I think there is a free health clinic in Brighton.

Great idea! I wouldn't have thought of that. I'm not finding any on a quick search, though; what would you suggest I look under?

Excellent - thanks so much for the tip! We'll hope it works out.
