Fuzzy news

As I mentioned earlier, Scheherazade went in to have her teeth cleaned yesterday, and came home acting spacey. We knew the anesthesia had to wear off, but when she was still spacey this morning I called the vet's office. They said to keep an eye on her but not to worry unless she threw up. So I went to work. Shortly thereafter, sdavido called to tell me the cat had thrown up. So I went back home to pick them up (I had the car), and drove over to the vet's. The vet determined that she was dehydrated (made sense) and wanted to check her electrolytes, etc., so we left her there. A while later, he called to tell me that she still seemed lethargic, and he wanted to keep her overnight so they could give her more fluids and keep an eye on her. I don't like leaving her in a cage overnight, but it sounded like it was necessary. So we are temporarily catless. (sigh) It feels rather empty here without her. But hopefully it was just a short-term reaction, and she'll be better in the morning and can come back home.
