Something strange happened to my aunt S. and uncle H. recently. Their van spontaneously caught fire in their driveway. The fire department came quickly, and thank G-d nobody was hurt and it didn't spread, but as you can imagine it was still a bit unsettling. They have now discovered that they're not alone. It's scary to think what could have happened... although having your van combust is not a happy thing, it could have been much, much worse.

Thanks, us too! (These are the relatives in Ohio, as it happens; in a way being long-distance makes it scarier.)

I'm glad to hear your aunt and uncle are fine. The van can be replaced, so this is an inconvenience but thankfully not a tragedy.

Precisely so. They still have a lot of frustrating paperwork ahead of them, but paperwork can be dealt with and put aside.

Weird! I'm glad everyone's OK and that it's just property damage.

That is scary. Was it also a Ford?
