[livejournal.com profile] sdavido and I went tonight to see the Star Wars trilogy musical at MIT. (The site also links to an article about it.) It was very well attended - I think they were surprised by how many people were waiting in line! We got to chat with [livejournal.com profile] jbsegal and [livejournal.com profile] dancingdeer while waiting to get in, and later saw [livejournal.com profile] gnomi and [livejournal.com profile] mabfan a few rows away. The show itself was brilliantly done. The songs were funny and well-performed, the effects were clever and well-executed, and on the whole it was a wonderful way to spend an evening. I would recommend going if you're in town, but it's pretty much sold out. If you have the time to spare, though, it's worth trying to get on the waiting list - that's how we, and JB & DDeer, happily got in. :-) (I only found out about it two days ago, so...)

And [livejournal.com profile] donnad was kind enough to resize my dream avatar so I can use it as an icon. Yay!

We are on the wait list for tomorrow... the woman S talked to said there's a fairly dependable no show rate. Thanks for the favorable review!

Actually, H* and I already had tickets, but JB hadn't and had also forgotten to bring cash, so I was waiting with him with the wait list folks. Everyone I know who was on the wait list (you two, JB, and about 4 others) all got in, which was a relief.
I thought it was fabulous too, and thanks for the Globe article link; I hadn't finished it last night when I got dragged away because it was too loud and people wanted to get going.
