[livejournal.com profile] sdavido and I went tonight to see the Star Wars trilogy musical at MIT. (The site also links to an article about it.) It was very well attended - I think they were surprised by how many people were waiting in line! We got to chat with [livejournal.com profile] jbsegal and [livejournal.com profile] dancingdeer while waiting to get in, and later saw [livejournal.com profile] gnomi and [livejournal.com profile] mabfan a few rows away. The show itself was brilliantly done. The songs were funny and well-performed, the effects were clever and well-executed, and on the whole it was a wonderful way to spend an evening. I would recommend going if you're in town, but it's pretty much sold out. If you have the time to spare, though, it's worth trying to get on the waiting list - that's how we, and JB & DDeer, happily got in. :-) (I only found out about it two days ago, so...)

And [livejournal.com profile] donnad was kind enough to resize my dream avatar so I can use it as an icon. Yay!

We are on the wait list for tomorrow... the woman S talked to said there's a fairly dependable no show rate. Thanks for the favorable review!

I hope you get in, I think you'll really enjoy it! Let me know what you think, if you go... :-)

Actually, H* and I already had tickets, but JB hadn't and had also forgotten to bring cash, so I was waiting with him with the wait list folks. Everyone I know who was on the wait list (you two, JB, and about 4 others) all got in, which was a relief.
I thought it was fabulous too, and thanks for the Globe article link; I hadn't finished it last night when I got dragged away because it was too loud and people wanted to get going.

Ah, that makes sense now... when they called JB up for one ticket, and you went in with him, I thought maybe you had some Magical Tech Connection. :-) It was great that we all got to see it! And you're very welcome for the link, glad that was useful.

BTW, I've been thinking of friending you for a while, but didn't know if that would be welcome... so, since I have your attention... would that be OK? :-) (No pressure, seriously. If you're feeling over-friended I won't be insulted.)

Hi! I never mind being friended, but you should be warned in advance that the info in my bio is current. I'm mostly only posting one thing a month at this point (and very occasional random things). I haven't been dealing well with social stuff for a while now.

Fair enough. Most people only post once in a while, that's what makes it manageable... :-)
