There's a show on the Discovery Channel* tomorrow night that sdavido would really like to see. Would someone possibly be able to record** it for us?

* I don't know whether we get the Discovery Channel, I never turn on the TV (aside from watching DVDs). We only have cable because it comes with the Broadband.

** We might be able to record it if we get the channel, but we might not have a blank tape/DVD, and might discover at the last second that the VCR/recorder had the hiccups... and since I work 'til 8 tomorrow night, and Solomon works 'til 9:30, we might not find out it wasn't working until it was too late. If possible I'd much rather have someone record it as back-up, just in case.

I've set the TiVo for it; if you can't record it yourself, we'll just offload it to tape.

Wonderful, thanks so much! It seems like something he might want to use for his sociology class. We probably will ask you to copy it over, but we'll be happy to provide a tape/DVD if that would be helpful.

It's sitting on the TiVo marked "keep till I delete"; I don't think we have a blank tape, so picking one up from you is probably a good idea. I'm about to run off to work, but I believe you have our cellphone numbers...

I probably do somewhere, I'll do some digging... would you prefer tape or DVD? Are you OK with picking it up or is it easier if I mail it? (Also, do you still want that computer?)

Well, we don't have a DVD burner, so tape is definitely preferable.

If you have another taker for that computer... I haven't had any luck tracking down a hard drive for it.

I just told our Tivo to grab it. I can theoretically burn programs from my Tivo to DVD and then mail said DVD. Let me know if no one more local comes through and i'll try to do that.

I'd say let's do it, if only so I can get a copy in both DVD and VHS (different classrooms, different media). If you have a paypal account, I can send ya the filthy lucre right away to pay for the media and the postage.
