A few years ago, I started keeping a list of my friends' children's names and ages. I felt embarrassed about needing to write them all down, but I was having trouble keeping track. As time passes I am increasingly glad I decided to do this. After my most recent update, the current total of friends' and cousins' children (aged 10 or under) is 57, with 4 more expected in the next few months (G-d willing). Maybe it's not just that I have a bad memory for names, after all...

Oh, thank you - someone else who uses actual lists and stuff instead of Palm Pilots...*grin*

I once dated someone who worked in a classified job at a secure facility. Unsurprisingly, you can't take computer kinds of things in and out and the same for PDAs. (This was before palm pilots were big.) He kept forgetting to do things and told me it was because he wasn't allowed to have his PDA with him. I advised him that there was a great solution: we called it "pen" and "paper." *grin*

For most things, I think it's actually faster to write it down than to click through all those menus...
